Tsunami area and Meet their Staff On our historical visit to the Tsunami area in 2005 we found an area, on an island, with 7,000 homes, and hundreds of make-shift houses, tents, lean-tos, and 80,000 people. God led you to give for us to purchase enough rice, potatoes, and onions to feed them all. This is a fishing village that lost boats and fishing nets . . . so we bought nets and helped repair boats also. The area was divided in 13 sections. We fed 2 sections at a time. We followed up with Gospel literature and "loving kindness". You also gave enough money for us to support a pastor for 2 years ($150.00 per month). He will move his family into the area where the only Christian influence is a very small Catholic work. He will begin witness-ing, start a Bible Study in his home, and when he is ready to build a building we have set aside $10,000 you gave to go toward paying for the first church building. Thank you. We gave financial assistance to a number of people . . . needy families. We also gave financial aid to some of our Christian workers. For instance, we gave $800.00 for a young pastor to finish building his humble home. We gave $500.00 to another pastor to pay off a loan he had taken out to pay hospital bills for his wife’s illness. We bought a Christian worker a motorcycle and several men were given bicycles. We also bought Bibles and literature to be passed out. One of our great joys was to help the Blessed Children Orphanage . For some time Sue and I have been sending money each month to support these 60 precious children but we need help. It takes about $1,200.00 a month to fully support them, about $20.00 per child. Sue and I have only been able to send $400.00 per month. I sure wish about 14 of you would join us by sending $20.00 a month to help these boys and girls have food, clothing, education, and bare necessities. The last night we were there we gave them a "banquet". Wow, you should have seen them enjoy that meal!
